19/11/17 -- Pork Hill and White Tor

A yomp through three millennia over six tors

Our Dartmoor offering is a strenuous 8 1/2 miles over open moorland with nearly 400m of ascent, so please come prepared with good boots, sticks, gaiters and full waterproofs.

Meet at Pork Hill car park on the Tavistock to Princetown Road (SX 531751) at 10.00 sharp.
We head out north to Cox Tor, then on to my very own White Tor before heading east towards the Walkham Valley and back via the Staples. There are heaps of interesting sites en route, and weather permitting magnificent views.

It is likely to be a slightly longer than usual outing – please allow 5 1/2 hours.
De-brief at the Rock in Yelverton.
Please check the website for any late changes to plan on the Saturday as if the weather is set to be very inclement we may well divert to an alternative walk.
car shares depart 9am from the Watermark.
